Welcome to the Brixham Beacon, created by husband and wife team Simon and Samantha.  Simon, born in Brixham in 1973, and returning to his home town in 2025 bringing Samantha with him from Worcestershire.  They decided to create the Brixham Beacon as a beacon of light, highlighting the positives of living and working in wonderful South Devon.

Shedding light on local news, events, people and businesses across Brixham, Fish Town, Cow Town, Galmpton and Churston.

Created with a simple vision: bringing communities closer, celebrating the people, places and stories making South Devon so special. In this digital world, there is something special about a local newspaper, connecting neighbours, supporting local businesses and sharing news.

Whether it’s a local charity, community group, an upcoming event, business opening, or a positive story, the Beacon is here to shine a light.
